Organization Information
Latinos in Further Education (LIFE), in strong partnership with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE), is dedicated to empowering not only Latinx/Hispanic students and culture, but everyone in education and professional development.
LIFE believes that the richness of cultural identity aids its members in achieving their academic and social goals, which is why we attempt to create a home away from home for our members. We do this by planning and executing cultural events, fundraisers, and more We are dedicated to not only increase the number of Latino and Hispanic professionals, but to celebrate the richness and diversity that is the Latino and Hispanic culture within Illinois Tech. LIFE welcomes any student; those who consider themselves Latinx and those who want to learn about the richness within the Latin culture. LIFE's initiative is to educate and share the beliefs, traditions, customs and lifestyles of different Latinx students at IIT, thus creating respect and understanding towards a diverse group
