IIT's Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics

The purpose of IIT SIAM is to generate interest in applied mathematics and computational science by providing students opportunities to develop leadership skills, to explore career paths, and to share ideas and enthusiasm with students and faculty.

 

Mission

  • To further the application of mathematics to industry and science.
  • To promote basic research in mathematics leading to new methods and techniques useful to industry and science.
  • To provide media for the exchange of information and ideas between mathematicians and other technical and scientific personnel.
